Discover New Features in CAMWorks 2025
In CAMWorks 2025, the Simulation Machine dropdown under the Machine tab within the Machine dialog allows you to select the desired Virtual Machine for simulation. Additionally, a Display Components toolbar now appears in the graphics area during toolpath simulation, enabling optional visibility of various machine components within the active Simulation Machine.
Contour Mill Toolpaths from Bottom to Top
CAMWorks 2025 introduces an option to generate Contour Mill toolpaths that machine from the bottom to the top of 2.5 Axis Mill features. This option is especially beneficial when machining tapered and keyway slot features, where tools such as lollipop and keyway tools are recommended.
Enhanced Chamfer Machining
From CAMWorks 2025 onward, chamfer machining is supported by three additional tool types:
- Ball Nose Tools
- Hog Nose Tools
- Lollipop Tools

Automatic Recognition Options for Turn Features
CAMWorks 2025 has eliminated prior limitations by adding checkbox options in the Turn Features tab within the CAMWorks Options dialog. These checkboxes allow users to control which Turn Feature types are automatically recognised, including a specific checkbox for generating Face Features with a Sub Spindle attribute.
Collet as Work holding Device
An option to define a collet as the work holding device is now available. CAMWorks 2025 enables users to create and manage a centralised library of collets within the Technology Database (TechDB), offering greater flexibility in work holding.
Expanded Sync Manager View
An expanded view for the Sync Manager tab is now available, allowing operations to be organised by turret or spindle. This improved view provides enhanced visualisation, particularly helpful when synchronising operations between both Main and Sub Spindles.
