SprutCAM Tech has released updated versions of CAD/CAM/OLP software.
SprutCAM X and SprutCAM X Robot version 17 are CAD/CAM systems designed for the next generation of makers. They are the most powerful and functional versions to date but at the same time easy to learn and use.
The new version introduces innovations and key features, including Éncy, the first virtual AI assistant in the CAD/CAM industry, which enhances learning opportunities for G-code proficiency. SprutCAM X Robot is specifically designed for programming industrial robots and excels in robotic milling applications, making it a comprehensive solution for complex and creative tasks such as welding, additive manufacturing, pick-and-place, assembly, painting, and trimming.
SprutCAM X Robot 17 has added new features, including an improved Point Pick and Place operation for moving objects with a robotic arm, new options for spray operations, and enhancements to the Redundant Axes Optimizer.
Version 17 introduces several new features to improve efficiency and streamline workflows for easy reuse of approaches across multiple projects. The Snapshots feature acts as an Undo function for CAM workflow, automatically creating snapshots triggered by events. The Machine Setup File saves time by quickly transferring machine digital twins, settings, and tools from a template. The Machining Report has been redesigned with improved report generation, image output, user interface, and export functionality.
There are significant improvements in 3-axis operations. For example, the Roughing Waterline operation now has new features such as rest machining integration, faster calculation speed, improved stability, and enhanced simulation features. A new operation called Undercut Waterline is introduced for 3-axis milling, supporting various undercut tools and adaptive rough passes. Additionally, there is a new 5-axis Solid Simulation with high tolerance, which is particularly useful for small tools and large stock.
SprutCAM X 17 is not just a CAD/CAM software, but a complete digital production universe. It now includes an Online Project Library for collaboration and sharing among developers, partners, and customers. MachineMaker, a digital twin builder, now supports more types of machines and has an interactive simplifier for faster work. The built-in CAD module has improved menus and windows, better performance and stability, new operations, and enhanced sketching features.
SprutCAM X has made improvements to make it easier for new users to learn and use. They have introduced smart hints to help users navigate the parameters more easily. The design and interface have also been improved, with changes to the color balance and interface design to create a consistent look across different windows. These changes result in a streamlined and simple design that helps users stay focused and maintain a consistent workflow.
